I’m a Bible diver, coffee drinker, and proud Blue Backer who finds joy in the simple things. Whether I’m tending to my garden, watching birds from my porch, or enjoying a well-deserved nap, I’m all about living a life rooted in faith, nature, and minimalism.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m a lover of simple, thoughtful living, currently residing on 5 beautiful acres in rural southeast Oklahoma. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats. My career has largely kept me in front of a computer screen, but I’ve always yearned for something more—a deeper connection with nature, a return to simpler times, and a life filled with purpose and joy.
Now, as I enter this new chapter of life, I’m focused on creating content that speaks to those who, like me, are seeking a slower, more intentional way of living. My blog is a space where you’ll find musings on life after 50, minimalism, and the joy of living small. But it’s also a place where I celebrate the beauty of the natural world—birds, lizards, turtles, snakes, pollinators, and all the wild creatures that make southeast Oklahoma their home.
I’m passionate about wildlife preservation, and through this blog, I hope to inspire others to appreciate and protect the delicate ecosystems that surround us. Gardening, bird watching, and faith are also close to my heart, and I believe that through these simple acts, we can find peace and fulfillment.
In addition to my blog, I’m exploring the possibility of starting a family business with my now retired husband and our two adult children. We’re drawn to woodworking, nature, and animals, and we’re excited about the prospect of working together to create something that reflects our shared values and passions.
Whether you’re here for tips on living a more self-sufficient life, insights into faith and the Bible, or simply to enjoy the beauty of nature through my lens, I hope you find something that resonates with you. So grab a cup of coffee and join me on this journey. Let’s slow down, appreciate the small things, and find joy in the everyday moments.
